Product description

In 2017 this raincoat celebrated its 30th anniversary. This long raincoat is more or less the first coat Lotte designed when she started McVERDI back in 1987. With the exception of a few very small changes, this coat is more or less sewn according to exactly the same pattern that was constructed in the late 80s.

It is a small piece of history for us at McVERDI, and it’s wonderful that year after year it still proves it belongs in the collection. Long and lovely, and like the other raincoats, perfectly suited to Scandinavian weather because it is both wind- and water-repellent, and lined with a wool lining that is warm and comfortable. The raincoat has a long season and lasts a long time, and it features a timeless and classic design.

The coat has a decorative zipper that goes all the way up to the collar and zippered pockets. It has neat topstitching along the edges and on the back vent. The coat has inner pockets.

Material description

The coat’s outer fabric consists of 65% cotton and 35% polyurethane, which gives the material its rubberized surface. The rubberized surface makes the outer material windproof and highly water-repellent, while the cotton ensures you have a practical coat that is breathable. The coat’s lining consists of 80% wool and 20% polyamide.

The coat is extremely easy to care for. It should simply be wiped clean with a damp cloth and hung up to air occasionally. The coat CANNOT be dry-cleaned and as a rule should not be washed. It is, however, possible to wash the coat gently on a wool program in the machine when it really needs it, but this should only be done very rarely. The somewhat limited washing and dry-cleaning options have never been a problem in the almost 30 years we have produced the coats.

The outer material used for this coat has been produced in Italy by the same manufacturer for 30 years. The wool lining is also produced in Italy, while the coat is sewn in Bulgaria. NOTE! The jacket is very water-repellent, but the seams are not welded and it does not have 100% rainproof details.

Fit

The coat has a LOOSE fit. In size medium it has a chest width of 128 cm, of which 26–30 cm is allowance for extra width, and the coat has a full length of 124 cm.
