A lovely long winter coat with a balloon silhouette in a dark purple color. The coat has a distinctive shape and a nice weight that makes it wonderful to wear. It also keeps your legs nicely warm. It has an oversize cut and is a truly warm "floaty" piece. Imagine a cold winter day when you take a long walk in the woods wearing this long, warm coat and a pair of chunky stylish winter boots. A truly cozy and warm winter outfit. The coat has a hood and ribbed wind cuffs in the sleeves, which make the coat extra snug and keep the cold out. The coat fastens with an asymmetrical closure with snap buttons, giving it a cool look. It also has an inner zipper so the coat can be closed securely. This winter coat naturally features large, luxurious patch pockets and Thinsulate lining.
The material
The outer material chosen for the coat has a pleasant surface and consists of 70% cotton and 30% polyamide. The outer fabric is windproof and water-repellent. The coat is mid-lined with 3M Thinsulate CS70, a microfiber material that efficiently warms the body with your own body heat without adding bulk or weight. Thinsulate is, for example, also used in skiwear and flight suits. The interior of the coat is lined with 100% cotton and the sleeves with 100% acetate satin. Only wash your coat when necessary—preferably no more than once per season. Stains can advantageously be treated with a bit of clear dish soap before washing. Wash inside out on the hand wash program in the machine and use a neutral detergent. Spin the coat an extra time before hanging it to dry on a hanger. If you find after a while that the coat's water repellency has diminished, the coat can be treated with a textile waterproofing spray. The outer fabric is produced in Italy, while the coat is sewn in Bulgaria.
Fit
The coat is one of our CLASSICS and is called the CARMEN coat. It has an OVERSIZE silhouette and a full length of 120 cm in size M. The winter coat's OVERSIZE fit means that an extra 40–42 cm of fabric is included for extra width/movement. You will therefore find that you can fit into several sizes in this model. If you want the coat to be less oversized, we recommend choosing one size down. But to achieve the true oversized look shown in the photos, choose your normal McVERDI coat size.
