Since the company's start in 1987 this raincoat has been one of our core products - and for many years was known as "the rubber coats". Lotte Honoré started the company by selling these black rubber coats in Copenhagen. Because the rubber coats are a McVERDI classic, they continue to be produced. Usually reissued in classic black - but occasionally new special editions in other colors are added. This year in this wonderful cobalt blue! The coat is warm, stylish and practical. And it may be one of the best suited coats for the unpredictable Scandinavian weather. In every way it is a really good investment in a practical and nice coat that we are sure you will be very happy with. The raincoat lasts a long time, and it has a timeless classic design. This raincoat, McB, is one of the raincoats we have had in the collection for over 30 years and it is still a hit!

The coat has a simple look at the front, where the ends of the drawcord can be adjusted inside the coat. The coat has a hood, zipper, zip pockets, an inner pocket and a drawcord across the back where the elastic can be adjusted depending on how much room you want in the back. The nice thing about the coat is that the drawcord continues slightly onto the front, so it subtly defines the waist. The coat is very water-repellent, but the seams are not welded and it does not have 100% rainproof details – so it is a good choice as a transitional coat for wet spring or autumn, but not an alternative to a 100% practical raincoat. On the other hand you get a lovely piece of outerwear that can also be worn in good weather and looks great worn open.

Material

The outer fabric of the raincoat consists of 65% cotton and 35% polyether, which gives the material the rubber-like surface. The surface makes the outer material windproof and very water-repellent, while the cotton ensures a practical coat that is breathable. The lining consists of 80% wool and 20% polyamide. As a rule the coat cannot be washed or dry cleaned - but that rarely feels necessary. The coat can be wiped with a damp cloth and hung to air in damp weather. If you feel the coat really needs washing, it can be gently machine washed on a delicate cycle - this should only be done very rarely, max once per season. The fabric is produced in Italy, while the coat is sewn in Bulgaria.
