Looking for a simple and straightforward summer dress? Then this sweet linen dress could be an option. The Rikke dress has a straight up-and-down silhouette and is comfortable and pleasant to wear. It falls to just below the knee and has a wide double-layered hem at the bottom that gives the dress a bit of extra weight. The dress has a V-neck and a wide strap at the back with slight gathers on the back. It has short sleeves and, of course, side pockets.
The material
The dress is sewn in a lightweight 100% linen quality. Linen is lovely to wear in summer because it helps regulate the skin temperature. Additionally, linen has a beautiful and interesting texture that makes the material appealing. Linen is also one of the more sustainable material choices, as the cultivation and processing of linen fibers have a minimal environmental footprint and do not require artificial fertilizers or pesticides. Linen tends to wrinkle and it is difficult to avoid. Linen can of course be ironed, but we actually recommend letting linen be linen and simply hanging the dress to dry on a hanger. Wash with a neutral, gentle detergent on a cold hand-wash program.
Production
McVERDI is Danish design. We have a design studio north of Helsingør in Ålsgårde, side by side with our large store and webshop. In Ålsgårde we design, sew and adjust the first samples before they are sent to Bulgaria to be produced. For years we have collaborated with a small family-owned factory in southern Bulgaria.

This sweet linen dress has a FITTED LOOSE silhouette and a full length of 110 cm in size medium. The dress is one of our CLASSIC pieces and is named RIKKE.
