Looking for a very simple and straightforward summer dress? Then this sweet linen dress could be an option. The Rikke dress has a straight up-and-down silhouette and is comfortable and pleasant to wear. It falls just below the knee and has a wide double-layered hem at the bottom that gives the dress a little extra weight. The dress has a V-neck and a back bodice with a little gathering at the back. It has short sleeves and of course the dress has side pockets.
The material
The dress is sewn in a light 100% linen quality. Linen is lovely to wear in summer because it helps regulate the skin temperature. In addition, linen has a beautiful and interesting texture that makes the material appealing. Linen is also one of the more sustainable fabric choices, as growing and processing the linen fibers has a minimal environmental footprint and does not require artificial fertilizers and pesticides. Linen tends to wrinkle and it is hard to avoid. Linen can of course be ironed, but we actually recommend letting linen be linen and simply hang the dress to dry on a hanger. Wash with a neutral, gentle detergent and on a cold hand-wash program.
Production
McVERDI is Danish design. We have a design studio north of Helsingør in Ålsgårde, side by side with our large store and webshop. In Ålsgårde we design, sew and adjust the first samples before they are sent to Bulgairen ofr to be produced. For years we have collaborated with a small family-owned factory in southern Bulgaria.
Fit
This sweet linen dress has a FITTED LOOSE silhouette and a full length of 110 cm in size medium. The dress is one of our CLASSIC pieces and is called RIKKE.

Our collections are produced in small runs and often there are only 3-4 pieces per size.
