Our well-known pleated dress can very quickly become a wardrobe favorite. Consider yourself warned ;-) It has a great fit that has been refined over many seasons and suits many types of women – both plus-size and petite. Over the years the dress has been nicknamed both the favorite dress and the outfit-crisis saver. It’s a dress style many of us love. In its simplicity it’s a very lovely dress with pockets and a well-fitting long sleeve. The dress fits snugly around the bust and from there has a loose, relaxed fit and is finished with a wide, nice hem. In this striped denim version the dress has three patch pockets on the front, giving it a more worker-style look. The dress is a favorite all year round and can be beautifully styled with a pair of trousers underneath or just colorful tights. This denim quality gives the pleated dress a cool expression and makes the dress a little more tough and feminine at the same time. Optionally add the denim trousers in the same quality and you have a great denim-on-denim look.

The material

This dress is sewn in a super cool striped denim made of 100% cotton. The material is sturdy and has some weight – you get a denim that is “long-lasting” and durable. After the dress is sewn it has been thoroughly washed, which processes the material and gives it a lovely softness. The denim material is woven in classic narrow stripes. Please note that the blue version is dyed with indigo and should be washed separately the first few times, as there may still be residual dye in the dress (despite prewashing). The denim material is from England, sewn into lovely McVERDI skirts in Bulgaria.

Fit

The denim dress has a FITTED silhouette and a full length of 110 cm in size medium.
This dress is meant to fit around the bust and become looser below the bust to create a slight A-line silhouette.

All McVERDI clothing is sewn in the EU - at a family-owned factory in Bulgaria, which we have worked with for many years.

Over 90% of our materials are also produced in the EU - primarily in Italy.

Small quantities - delicious fabrics

Our materials are chosen with the utmost care - and many are even designed especially for us. We work primarily with natural materials.

Our collections are produced in small runs and often there are only 3-4 pieces per size.
