We fell head over heels for this beautiful sequined fabric! For the first time ever, there’s a touch of glitter in the McVERDI collection! This is a truly stunning and cool dress with a loose fit. It is an obvious choice for festive occasions, or it can serve as a joyful addition to your everyday summer wardrobe. It drapes beautifully around the body, exuding understated luxury. Style it with a pair of elegant sandals. Wear it as a dress or layered over trousers. The caftan dress features side pockets.

The Material

The caftan is crafted from a blend of 58% linen, 31% cotton, 7% polyamide, and 4% polyacrylic. A thread with multi-colored sequins is woven into the fabric. Machine wash on a gentle hand-wash cycle using a laundry bag. Let the dress dry on a hanger. If ironing is necessary, use a low heat setting with a pressing cloth in between.

Production

McVERDI is Danish design – designed in Ålsgårde, north of Elsinore. This is where the initial samples are designed, sewn, and fitted before being sent to Bulgaria for production. We work with a small family-owned factory in Bulgaria, a partner we have collaborated with for many, many years. The fabric is produced in Italy, just north of Florence.

Fit

The caftan dress features an oversize silhouette and is designed to hang loosely around the body. It is based on our THORA classic. Therefore, the caftan is produced in 4 sizes: 1 (xs/s), 2 (m/l), 3 (xl/2xl), and 4 (3xl). Since the dress is oversize, you will likely find that several sizes can work for you. The dress has a total length of 130 cm.

McVERDI since 1987

Almost 40 years ago, McVERDI was founded by Lotte Honoré, who is still the owner and runs the company today, as well as designing all of McVERDI’s collections. Together with a dedicated team, she creates the best framework for the McVERDI universe.

All McVERDI clothing is sewn in the EU - at a family-owned factory in Bulgaria, which we have worked with for many years.

Over 90% of our materials are also produced in the EU - primarily in Italy.

Our materials are chosen with the utmost care - and many are even designed especially for us. We work primarily with natural materials.

Our collections are produced in small runs and often there are only 3-4 pieces per size.
